What does "available to order from our supplier" mean?
At Stanfords we sells tens of thousands of different maps, books and other products.
Unfortunately, our shop is too small to hold them all at once. However, we still want you to be able to order them from us.
When you see a product on our website that says "available to order from our supplier", this means that we may not have it in the shop, but we can try and source it for you from the supplier.
We aim to do this as quickly as possible, but sometimes - especially for maps that we have to import from overseas - it can take a few weeks for them to reach us.
After you place an order online, we will send you an email notifying you of any items that we will have to order in. Once the item is delivered to us, it will automatically be allocated to you and you'll be notified. If you've arranged for the item to be home delivered, we'll post it out to you right away.
If your order is being delivered in the UK, we usually post out your items in separate shipments, as soon as they are ready. If your item is being delivered outside the UK, we usually wait for your whole order to be ready before we post it out.
If you place an order but we miss the deadline for when you need it, please get in contact with us as soon as possible. We can cancel the order and issue a refund, or we can check to see if alternative suitable products are available.
