I got a dispatch notification but some items are missing

You may have placed an order with us and received a dispatch notification with some items from your order not shown. This may be for the following reasons:

  • We have sold out of this item in our shop and we have to source it from elsewhere. Either from one of our partner distributors or from another branch of Stanfords. We will handle this and get your missing items dispatched as soon as possible. It usually doesn't take more than a couple of days extra if the items are available in the UK and in stock. You'll get another dispatch notification when we've sourced your missing items. Please note that in this case your order might arrive in more than one delivery.
  • We may need to source some of the items you have ordered directly from the supplier. We will be in contact to let you know when this is the case and keep you updated with estimated delivery times. Please be aware that if it's an international supplier, this may take longer to source. We can't always provide an exact delivery estimate but we will keep you updated as best as we can.
  • The item you ordered may be a "print on demand" title. We will contact you when this is the case and order it from the publisher as quickly as possible. This usually takes 2-3 weeks.

Sometimes items you have ordered may no longer be available. We are very sorry when this happens, but we will contact you as soon as possible and offer an alternative if we can. If there is no alternative we will offer to remove the item from your order and give you a refund for that item.
